Because I'd get home early, unwind and just relax and do what I wanted. I would literally feel much better to get picked up right after school. I can't emphasize how much my mood would improve when I'd be lucky enough on a few occasions to get picked up early from school. When I told her that she should of come at the specified timing, she just shrugged it off like it was nothing and didn't give a shit. She came at 4:15pm on that day to pick me up. So I told her to pick me up at 2:30pm from school which was when school finished. The was a day when my mom said she isn't going to work. They brought a child into the world and didn't give a damn that I would have to wait that long to get picked up. Now, with my antinatalist views I can 110% confirm that my parents were selfish bastards. I once asked my mom if we can get a driver to pick me up from school and she said that it would be a waste of money. Aftercare was basically more school after school closed, because they made kids sit down and do homework. It didn't make matters easier for me that I was bullied in high-school and teachers hounded me to attend aftercare in prep school which I absolutely hated. This really pissed the living shit out of me over the years. I would then have to wait from 10:30am to 5pm just to get picked up from school. So an exam would start at 7:30am then finish at 10:30am depending on the length of the paper. On exam days in high-school, school would finish earlier. So since grade 3, when school would finish I'd have to wait until 5pm to get picked up by my mom. In grade 8-9(after grade 9, I did homeschool), school would end at 2:30pm The reason this was so was because my dad did business in another country, so they'd be no one available to pick me up right after school.Īs I went grades higher, school closed a bit later. This may not be the most major annoyance one can make, but it did annoy the living shit out of me when I attended school.įrom grade 3, my mom would pick me up from school at 5pm.
